Where timeless wisdom meets today's questions.
"बिनु विचार जे करहिं कछु, तेहिं करम फलु होइ।"
Without reflection, actions lead to unintended outcomes. — Ramcharitmanas
If Ram Charit Manas is a river, then youth engagement is its new ghāṭ — a place where fresh minds can approach ancient waters. Here, today's dilemmas seek tomorrow's clarity at the banks of Ayodhya.
This space is designed especially for young people to think more clearly about identity, relationships, purpose, and inner challenges, through the rooted wisdom of the Ramcharitmanas.
Through guided questions and reflective answers, we explore:
Here, we engage with experiential dharma, not merely ritual; understanding, not just recitation; application, not only admiration.
May these conversations help shape character, strengthen discernment, and awaken inner steadiness — so each seeker may walk the Ram-Mārga with confidence, humility, and grace.
Lord Ram and his entire team are proven examples of ideal leadership and that is why the Lord succeeded in establishing an Ideal Welfare state called Ramrajya. Lord ram gives entire credit for his success to his subjects and his dedicated and selflessly committed teammates. Earlier the traditional concepts taught in management schools for success was Power Leadership – but in the modern approach as of now – the entire tenets of successful leadership have changed. There is a paradigm shift from Power Leadership to Servant Leadership in the 2st century and the roots of this are deeply embedded in Shri RCM which has in 2024 been declared as an important scripture of World Heritage by UNESCO.
Lord Ram and his team members are exemplary luminaries which personify servant leadership called सेवक नेतृत्व in Hindi. The transformation in the mindset of subjects of the nation is a rare feat achieved by Shri Ram not miraculously but by sheer human endeavor.
Lord Ram profitably used the period of 14 years of banishment as an opportunity to reach the weak and down trodden section of society living in forests. He resolved their problems of victimization, tyranny and oppressiveness by his valour and bravery, He bridged the differences existing in society, not by sitting on the throne but living amongst them as one of his very own.
On the other hand, his sibling Shri Bharat conducted the administration of Ayodhya living in a hermitage at Nandigram while having the DIVINE PADUKAS – sandals of lord Ram saddled on the throne, a rare example of servant leadership, indicating that even with supreme power, when one devours ego and doership, one can achieve the highest.
There are many more examples of Hanumanji also in this context. Lord Ram with his associates succeeded in dispelling the fears, sorrows and woes of all the subjects of Ayodhya. That is why even today Lord Ram reigns in the hearts of all as their ideal leader.
If we look at nature, even a tree can serve as a strong inspiration. The tree which stands on mother earth has to continuously face the changing weather – scorching sunlight, tormenting rainfall and wind storms – and only that tree which is deeply connected with its roots to the strata is able to face it all. Those who are not grounded well to the support system, will get unrooted.
Identically for human beings, it is survival for the fittest. The inner strength that we need to face the challenges of life can be drawn from our texts of wisdom and knowledge, our timeless invaluable scriptures of Sanatan Dharma. The Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas are a treatise encyclopaedia of successful living which serve as a guiding light to a seeker who has to walk his path to success.
Lord Ram and Lord Krishna manifested on the stage of Earth and in their mega drama, they accepted all the challenges facing mankind and the solutions they offered are time tested, eternal, concretized in the form of Shri Ramayana or Shrimad Bhagawad Gita.
On can only imagine the trials and tribulations Lord ram was confronted with when he was banished form the kingdom – born with a silver spoon and raised with palatial luxuries, when he had to leave the kingdom, knowing fully well that the path he has to tread now is a bed of thorns, still Lord Rama accepted the banishment as a boon, as an upgradation from Prince-Heir to a full-fledged King of the Forests.
It is only with a virtuous and a moral duty bound outlook and empathy towards all that one can build up that inner strength which helps any seeker to with stand the challenges of life. We as Indians are fortunate to have inherited this rich legacy of Sanatan Dharma which teaches us o walk with determination on the path of righteousness to achieve permanent success.
It is very normal for every ego-centric person to experience pride in moments of success and defection in case of failures. Digesting setbacks and failures is not so difficult , the biggest challenge is assimilating your success. The reason being success becomes an intoxicant, and when you are drowned in roaring success you lose your sense of discrimination and your equilibrium. And this could bring about your downfall.
As you rise to reach the heights of success, it being an uphill task, one needs to be careful to not loose balance. If you are not vigilant and slip down, it could not only bring your downfall but also be fatal.
Secondly man is a social animal, he cannot live in solitude. He lives in a society and performs his duty towards family, society, contributing not only to society but also drawing strength from it. As a conscious member of the family, as a unit of society and nation, he as a building block gets support from his near and dear ones, whether rit is moral, psychological, mental, physical, emptional, financial.
Living in the framework of family, as one progresses in life, on should not forget the contribution of these who were an integral part of his success story.
Our glorious Sanatana Dharma teaches us the norm of GRATITUDE also called कृतज्ञता. This is the core value of a stable and strong family, society and nation – Sanatan teaches us to live in awareness of the whole planet of Earth as one family. Hence we owe gratitude to our parents whi have given us birth, our teachers and Gurus who guided us in our success, our colleagues, siblings and subordinates who put their faith in us, the environment and the UNSEEN FORCES, from whom we draw energy, directly or indirectly.
When we live in this consciousness with a wide outlook and empathy towards all, our sense of ego automatically gets diluted. Our Gurudev used to say that cut off the head of capital I and replace it with a small “dot”. Only with this realisation can we stay humbly grounded, happy and keep growing, evolving.
